Umniah in Jordan varsity deal

Amman, December 18, 2010

Jordan telecom services provider Umniah  has signed an agreement with Mutah University, one of the Kingdom’s long-standing universities, located in the Karak governorate to launch its operations in the university’s campus.

The agreement was signed by Ihab Hinnawi, Umniah’s CEO, and Dr. Abdelrahim Hunaiti, Mutah University’s president at Umniah Headquarters.

Commenting on the agreement, Hinnawi said: 'This partnership is in line with our ongoing interests to interact with Jordanian universities, and showcases our corporate identity which belongs to both education and youth.'

'Umniah places a special focus on the youth segment because we believe that youth are the shapers of our future. Through this partnership, we hope to add value to the university’s students and employees, and to contribute to enhancing their on campus experiences in addition to awarding the distinguished students.”

Dr Hunaiti commended Umniah for its nationalistic efforts and sense of responsibility towards the local community, especially youth and also praised the quality services and products that it offers to the Jordanian telecom market at competitive prices.-TradeArabia News Service
