Commvault picks Bahrain channel partner

Manama, January 5, 2011

Commvault is continuing to expand its footprint across the rapidly developing Middle East IT market, and has signed up a new channel partner for Bahrain.

Commvault had just conducted a partner kick-off meet in Jordan and is looking to significantly increase its footprint in Bahrain and Kuwait in the coming months. With this in mind, the IT vendor has signed an agreement with Bahrain’s Zayani Computer Systems, who will offer Commvault Simpana software as part of its storage and data management portfolio.

Zayani Computer Systems will distribute the Commvault Simpana suite of Backup/Recovery, Replication, Archive, Search and Resource Management software to enterprise companies in the kingdom.

Under the new agreement, Zayani will assume local product distribution, reseller accreditation, professional services and technical support responsibilities for Commvault Simpana software. The two companies will also work together on business development and lead generation opportunities. Zayani will also gain access to Commvault's world class technical support and training network.

“Bahrain is one of the most important markets for Commvault in the Gulf. In Zayani we have found a partner with the necessary channel expertise to make Commvault products and solutions widely available,” said Colin Summers, regional director, Emerging Markets, Commvault.

“Commvault has industry leading products and solutions, like Simpana 9 and is keen to see Bahraini businesses benefit from adopting world class technology,” added Neil Desai, MD, Zayani.-TradeArabia News Service
