Nawras launches new broadband plans

Nawras, a leading telecom service provider in Oman, has launched new welcome pack offers as well as a new home broadband and voice plan at Comex 2011, a major ICT expo currently running in Muscat.

Using a simple plug and play WiMax modem, the new monthly Bronze plan, priced at RO9 ($23.37), gives 1GB of free data and is available as a postpaid or prepaid service, a statement said.

The voice service is included for free so there are no monthly subscription fees to budget for, it added.

The Silver plan is reduced in price by RO1 to RO14 per month while the Gold plan is now giving a maximum downlink speed of 3 Mbps and uplink of 1 Mbps with 20 GB of data per month for RO19.

The Platinum plan is now including unlimited data for a monthly rate of just RO24. Home broadband and voice packages come in a full range to suit different usage styles ranging from occasional users to home professionals.

Nawras also launched new welcome packs for RO2, which include the Nawras Mousbak SIM-card as well as RO1 of free credit and also free local SMS worth RO1.

New Nawras Ajel (postpaid) customers will receive 180 free minutes for Nawras to Nawras national calls with their welcome pack for only RO2. Each month for the first three months, 60 free minutes will be given for calls within Oman.

All Nawras Ajel customers also benefit from a permanently low calling rate of just RO0.019 per minute, the statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
