Tilgin launches new service gateway

Stockholm, July 9, 2012

Leading provider of solutions for multiplay and next-generation broadband access, Tilgin, has announced the launch of HG2200 family, a next-generation service gateway with high-capacity and advanced service capability.

With new generation DECT, full Gigabit speed routing and VDSL2 built-in, it takes a leap into services beyond triple play, a statement from Tilgin said.

HG2200 guarantees a long life time with hassle-free delivery of real time applications into the home. With Tilgin HGA software onboard, operators get rich software functionality from day one and an ensured future feature growth.

Tilgin Home Gateway series helps deliver new revenue generating services, all while maintaining a low operating cost, the statement said.

Eric Hjelmestam, vice president, of solution management and marketing, Tilgin, said: “After listening and analysing the market, we see a clear need to create features beyond triple play. This development will also demand a new level of performance. The features we envision are home control and home automation. The HG2200 family is designed with this purpose in mind.”

“It can deliver automation services on top of the new generation Dect and deliver IP services at Gigabit speed. In other words, it can deliver the yet unknown, new services for years to come,” he added.

Tilgin’s multi-access offering comes in several packages, allowing operators to address any end-user segment cost efficiently. All models use the company’s common gateway software HGA - running on all Tilgin Home Gateways. – TradeArabia News Service
