The provider of ceramic tiles, sanitary-ware, commercial kitchens, office furniture, industrial supplies, shelving and heavy equipment is hoping to underpin an ambitious expansion drive with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software solutions, a company statement said.
During the current phase, the project focuses on optimising the company’s sales, procurement, service, finance and HR functions.
“Alshaya Trading recognises the importance of optimising our business practices and leveraging fast-moving technology advancements. Implementing SAP ERP and SAP CRM is part of our vision for future growth, supporting our aim of providing world-class products and services across all divisions,” said Ayman Alshaya, CEO of Alshaya Trading Co.
“Our SAP implementation, which is now live in all the countries we operate in, is an upgrade from our old and un-integrated system, and affords us complete overview of our business, including sales, inventory and procurement cycles,” added Alshaya.
SAP ERP redefines enterprise resource planning, delivering role-based access to crucial data, applications and analytical tools. As a result, business challenges in the trading industry within areas such as supply chain management, business intelligence, HR and customer relationship management can be dealt with effectively and efficiently.
“Trading companies need innovation to tackle the vast, multifaceted challenges of continually increasing sales and distribution, channel demands, and inventory management,” said Gergi Abboud, country manager for SAP Gulf. “Alshaya Trading is an excellent example of a company with a vision to stay ahead of the competition and drive innovation.”
