Red Hat to launch new PaaS

Dubai, December 5, 2013

Red Hat, a leading provider of open source solutions, is set to launch the latest version of its platform-as-a-service (PaaS).

The OpenShift Enterprise 2 boasts of key features including datacentre infrastructure integration, an advanced administration console, support for even more programming languages, and new collaboration capabilities, it said.

With this, customers can increase the velocity, efficiency and scalability of their IT service delivery, drive faster development of new applications and business services and reduce time-to-market, said the company in a statement.

OpenShift Enterprise, introduced in November last year, is a critical component of Red Hat’s vision for the open hybrid cloud, providing an on-demand, elastic, scalable and fully configured application development, testing and hosting environment for application developers to focus on coding new application services with reduced operational burdens.

It is built on a stack of open source-based Red Hat technologies, including Enterprise Linux, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform and OpenShift Origin. - TradeArabia News Service
