Bahrain’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has announced that the due date for registration of postpaid SIM-cards has been extended by three months to September 2.

TRA further clarified that failing to register within the specified period will result in suspension of the service on a temporary basis; failing to register again during the suspension period will result in final deactivation by the December 2. This initiative is part of the Authority’s on-ongoing efforts to protect and safeguard subscribers from fraud and identity theft.

TRA has advised subscribers to visit their service providers and present verification documents to complete registration and avoid deactivation. – TradeArabia News Service
