Trend Micro to highlight modern-day cyber-security challenges

Trend Micro Incorporated, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, will highlight modern-day cybersecurity challenges and solutions in cryptocurrency, augmented reality/virtual reality, the metaverse, and Web3, at a key event in Abu Dhabi.
 
The 12th Annual e-Crime & Cybersecurity Congress is set to kick off tomorrow (September 21) at The St. Regis under the theme 'Securing Future Tech.
 
As a strategic sponsor, Trend Micro is set to advance the movement toward increased adoption of leading security innovations and strategies to solve the most intractable problems of the future digital era.
 
At the event, Bilal Baig, Technical Director, Trend Micro MEA, will lead the discussion in an engaging ‘What the “Hack” is going on?, providing an overview of challenges set by the pandemic, how to prepare for cybersecurity predictions in 2022, and adapt to the future of the threat landscape.

The recent Trend Micro report, Cybersecurity Threats Against the Internet of Experience, shares threat predictions concerning a rapidly evolving physical and digital world.
 
The report highlights the risks behind NFTs, the ‘darkverse’ – similar to the Dark Web, financial fraud, social engineering – consisting of human interactions designed to trick users, and much more. Without enhancements in security solutions and incorporating technical and social safeguards, these new digital experiences may be potentially more dangerous than initially perceived.
 
As per the Trend Micro Mid-Year Cybersecurity Report 2022, its solutions had blocked and detected approximately 59 million threats in the first half of 2022.
 
Organizations across the region have faced a significant rise in cyber threats during the pandemic and beyond due to the widespread adoption of new technologies catering to the remote work model and evolved digital environments. -TradeArabia News Service
