Sharjah lines up exclusive jewellery for show

The upcoming 40th edition of MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show in Sharjah, UAE will feature an exclusive range of jewellery chosen from across the world.

The show, running from April 5 to 9 at Expo Centre Sharjah will showcase exquisite lines of hand-made jewellery and ethnic & contemporary designs to feminine silhouettes & motifs, gold-layered pieces and chokers and other statement necklaces, a statement said.

“The 40th MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show is going to be a big celebration, where, apart from never-seen-before festivities, you can expect the best of the jewellery from across the world. You can find traditional works from India, the world’s most beautiful and sought-after jewellery from Italy, and fine handcrafted and creative designs from Singapore while Thai master jewellers will wow you with their refinement in craftsmanship,” said Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.

Some of these countries will have the largest pavilions at the show, with India having a pavilion consisting of 74 exhibitors, Hong Kong 63, Italy 29, Lebanon 27, Singapore and Malaysia 20, Thailand 12 and China 10.

Inaaya, which sources jewels from across the world and painstakingly crafts each piece as a work of art, will be a first-time exhibitor from India.

Jewels By Queenie, another first-timer from India, is famed for its exquisite line of hand-made fine jewellery where all pieces are embellished with stones and features intricate craft, spectacular design and undeniable glamour.

The world’s largest gold ring and a gold dress will find their pride of place in the halls. Rossella Jewellery’s stall will be adorned by the 1 kg, 21 karat Amirat Taiba (Princess of Taiba) gold dress, while the 58.686 kg gold ring made by Rossella’s parent company Taiba Gold & Jewellery of Saudi Arabia is coming to the MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show for the second time.

Dubai-based Bazelt Jewellery that takes pride in its exquisitely crafted jewellery and excellent workmanship, India’s luxury jewellery brand Hazoorilal Legacy that is known for its rare and exotic diamond and precious stones jewellery, solitaires, hallmarked 22k gold jewellery & flat diamond jewellery, and leading designers like Chitwn D Malhotra and Renu Sharma will also bring their best creations to the show.

“More than 50 new exhibitors will be taking part this time, bringing much more freshness, hundreds of new designs, rare jewellery and signature creations to the show. The MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show will once again stamp its class in the region as the most popular and longest running fair in the region,” added Midfa.

Another special attraction will be the daily raffle draw that offers fabulous prizes. On every purchase of Dh500 ($136), visitors will have the chance to qualify for raffle draw. The Hong Kong and Thai pavilions will also give away prizes to visitors.

Held under the patronage of Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the show will feature 500 exhibitors across 30,000 sq m of exhibition space at all the six halls at Expo Centre.

As part of the 40th edition’s celebrations, Expo Centre Sharjah will roll out the red carpet for visitors, together with scintillating ambiance, elaborate decorations and live music in all the halls, which will ensure that the show will be a memorable experience and a landmark event for the global jewellery industry.

Expo Centre Sharjah has also unleashed an intensive promotional campaign, which includes a unique branding initiative with Air Arabia and special ad campaigns. – TradeArabia News Service
