ADMC in massive OB investment
Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC), a diversified media and entertainment company, has made a significant investment in live outside broadcast (OB) technology.

The company has signed up Thomson Grass Valley, a French company which provides the world’s leading media, entertainment and communications companies with technology, services and systems, for its OB projects.

The agreement expands Abu Dhabi Media Company’s fleet of OB Vans, which can broadcast live television from anywhere in the emirates using superior quality digital technology.

“This deal reinforces Abu Dhabi Media Company’s commitment to keeping the emirates at the forefront of broadcasting technology,” said Abdul Hadi Al-Sheikh, technology executive officer at Abu Dhabi Media Company.

“The arrival of the new vans ensures we can broadcast superior quality television as it happens across the seven emirates,” he remarked.

The new vans, which carry between eight and sixteen cameras, also feature hydraulics, fire alarm systems, electric converters and environmentally-friendly air conditioning systems that can deal with extreme operating temperatures during summer.

The new vans are slated to arrive in Abu Dhabi end of August, and will be operational in October.-TradeArabia News Service
