Bahrain to host 3 major expos
Manama

Bahrain will host three major international commercial exhibitions next year, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced.

A Thai trade fair will be first held during the first quarter of next year. Leading Thai companies intend to take part in a bid to promote trade relations in Bahrain and the region.

They are active in the sectors of agriculture, food processing, industry and commerce, services, tourism, electronics, construction materials, car accessories and other sectors, said the organisers.

A fair promoting fruit and vegetables is also scheduled to be held at Bahrain Exhibition International Centre next year.

'The exhibition will be timely for investors exploring new alternatives to import such products amid skyrocketing prices', Apras Advertising chief executive Abdulkarim Ismael said.

The event, the first of its kind in Bahrain, is expected to attract American, Chinese and Japanese companies and other GCC suppliers.

Recent statistics show the GCC countries import up to 80 per cent of their needs in agricultural products.

The third exhibition will promote the latest trends in lighting technology. It is also expected to draw keen interest amid the current booming construction sector in Bahrain and the region.-TradeArabia News Service
