Etisalat to broadcast Euro 2012 live

Etisalat has announced that it will broadcast live all Euro 2012 matches, which will take place from June 8 to July 1, in high definition (HD) on its eLife Al Jazeera Sports package.
The Al Jazeera Sports package is available at Dh39 ($10.64) per month. Existing eLife TV (triple play) customers can choose to subscribe to ‘Al Jazeera Sports Package’ through the ‘A La Carte’ option, a statement from Etisalat said.
ELife double play and new customers can subscribe to eLife triple play and the sports package, the statement said.
Newly subscribed customers benefit from free installation and can choose to get the HD set-top and recorder box (personal video recording). The HD set-top box enhances the overall experience for customers viewing an HD channel on their HD TV sets.
With the recorder, customers can enjoy the instant replay feature to rewind and view a captivating moment during the game innumerable number of times. They can also schedule and record the matches to watch them later as per their convenience, it said.

The single Al Jazeera Sports package allows sports lovers to access live feeds of different sports without having to subscribe to multiple packages. The package includes Al Jazeera +1 to +10, HD 1 and 2, Al Jazeera Sports News, Events and Global channels. The package gives customers access to premium sports events of the year, including the London Olympics 2012.
“We have partnered the Pro-League and President Cup (UAE), Fina Swimming Championship, Dubai World Cup, and sponsored globally-renowned football clubs - FC Barcelona and Manchester City,” Alabbar added.
Etisalat offers eLife TV as a part of its Triple Play offering. A leading source of regional entertainment in the UAE, eLife TV offers more than 370 TV channels in 24 languages. With a wide variety of content ranging from sports to movies, documentaries to music, as well as channels for kids, eLife TV also features more than 45 HD channels and a 24/7 3D channel (High TV 3D).
The offering includes 15 premium TV packages from all major TV providers, and provides users with a number of features.
ELife TV customers benefit from features such as On Demand (video on demand) which is currently the largest library in the UAE with a choice of more than 700 of the latest movies from Hollywood, Arabia and Bollywood, 3D and HD, Catch-Up TV (which allows viewers to go back in time and watch the broadcasted programme up to one week later) and Recorder. – TradeArabia News Service
