Exhibition space at the upcoming Sign, Graphics and Imaging 2013 (SGI 2013), a major event in Dubai for the signage, outdoor media, screen and digital printing industries, is sold out to the extent of 70 per cent, said organisers.

International Expo Consults (IEC), part of Falak Holding and event organisers, is expecting more than 400 exhibitors and 10,000 trade visitors for the show scheduled to be held from January 20 to 22 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

Visitors from over 64 countries attended SGI 2012. AGFA, Fujifilm, Gandy Digital, GSS International, Digimatrix, Flex Europa, Giffin Graphics and STS Inks have already confirmed their presence at SGI 2013.

Exhibitors have signed several million dollar deals due to the tremendous demand from trade visitors from across the region.

“We strongly believe that our exhibitors at the show have had a very good response from the trade visitors and have decided to come in large numbers for our show next year. We will support their demand with an even larger floor space at the show,” said Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, chairman of IEC.
“This indicates that there is a tremendous demand within the industry. This is a great indicator of the sign of good times and also shows that the industry is growing at a faster pace as compared to previous years.”

Sharif Rahman, CEO, IEC, said: “The trade visitors were serious customers and they had come to our show with the intention of placing large orders. Innovative products showcased at the show was another key reason for the customers to place such massive orders.”
