P&G, LuLu back Dubai Cares education programmes

DUBAI, November 8, 2017

Procter & Gamble (P&G) and LuLu Hypermarkets have met their 2017 target of raising Dh150,000 ($40,830) to support Dubai Cares education programmes.

LuLu shoppers and P&G consumers s contributed in October in achieving this target and ensuring that underprivileged children and young people in developing countries benefit from the proceeds. For every select P&G brand purchased during the campaign period throughout LuLu Hypermarkets in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah in the UAE, P&G made a donation to Dubai Cares in support of education in developing countries.

This education-focused campaign was designed specifically with LuLu Hypermarket shoppers in mind, demonstrating to them how impactful choosing brands vested in sustainability can be for them. P&G initiatives which are designed to improve the lives of children and their families fall under the company’s global commitment to sustainability.

Since its inception, Dubai Cares, part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, has been working towards providing children and young people in developing countries with access to quality education through the design and funding of programmes that aim to be integrated, impactful, sustainable and scalable.

As a result, the UAE-based global philanthropic organization has successfully launched education programmes reaching over 16 million beneficiaries in 45 developing countries. – TradeArabia News Service
