Radio Bahrain launches Top 20 Chart Show

MANAMA, October 6, 2022

Bahrain will now have its own Official Bahrain Top 20 Chart Show, established by Radio Bahrain 96.5.

The inaugural show of the chart show, in partnership with McDonald’s Bahrain, will be broadcast today (October 6) from 5pm to 6 pm.

The Official Bahrain Top 20 Powered by McDonald’s chart show will be presented by Dave Cleary and will be aired weekly every Thursday from 5 pm to 6 pm.

In-line with Radio Bahrain’s slogan, ‘We Play the Hits’, Bahrain’s Top 20 will feature the 20 most popular songs of the week in the Kingdom and worldwide. The chart is compiled by listing the latest hits in Bahrain based on most streamed, requested, physical sales and paid-for downloads, said a statement.

Abdulla Adel Fakhro, Director of Fakhro Restaurants Company, said: “McDonald’s Bahrain is delighted to partner with Radio Bahrain 96.5 on the launch of the Official Bahrain Top 20 chart show. Radio Bahrain is the Kingdom’s favourite radio station whose listeners are as diverse as our customers, making this an ideal collaboration for both parties.”

Omar Khalifa Shaheen, Radio Bahrain Company CEO, said: “We put a lot of effort in developing and strengthening our corporate partnerships, and are pleased to begin our journey together with Fakhro Restaurants Company with McDonald’s Bahrain and the Official Bahrain Top 20 chart show collaboration. Bahrain has never before had an official chart show and we are simply delighted to launch this concept. We are confident that our listeners will tune in weekly to find out the top songs of the past seven days.”
