Haya Al Ruwaie

Al Ruwaie named chairperson of Bahrain Quality Society

MANAMA, October 20, 2020

Bahrain Quality Society (QBS) has announced the formation of its new board of directors, headed by Haya Al Ruwaie.

Hamad Bahr and Alaa Budalama And Abdel-Rahman Boujeri, Maryam Abdullah Bomatia, Zainab Hassan, Jaber Ramadan, Sumaya Al-Falah and Aisha Al-Mirbati were added as members.

The former Chairman of the society, Dr Khalid Bomatia, affirmed that the society is on the right path to achieve its goals in expanding the culture of quality in Bahrain, promoting ideas, practices, and applications of quality in the kingdom, and achieving the society's vision "Quality for Bahrain".

He said that this is based on the vision of the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Ali Humaidan to the role of voluntary civil work in Bahrain, and the support and facilities provided by NGOs Support director Najwa Abdullatif Janahi.

Dr Bomatia affirmed his faith in the society's new board of directors, which includes an elite ambitious and promising Bahraini youth in the field of quality, able to continue leading the society and activate its programmes, activities, work plan and influential presence in Bahraini society.

"We rely on the new generation of the society’s members to develop its work and performance, especially since several board members are among the graduates of the "Quality Youth" programme that the Society launched years ago. The aim of this programme was to prepare Bahraini youth leaders in the field of Quality management, preparing Bahraini youth to work in quality departments in governmental and private institutions, and qualify them with the required work ethics,” he said.

Dr Bomatia emphasised the need to invigorate the society to support public and private sector institutions in their fight against the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on performance, productivity and customer service.

"It's vital to constantly seek the best international practices in quality and excellence and achieve sustainable competitiveness with their services and products in the global market," Dr Bomatia added.

He concluded by saying: "There is an established link between international quality systems and the development of the Bahraini human cadre which is constantly seeking development since human development is one of the fundamental pillars of Bahrain’s Vision 2030, and the core element to lead social and economic development." -- Tradearabia News Service
