Oman’s NDC posts 44% rise in net profit for 2020

MUSCAT, April 11, 2021

Oman’s National Detergent Company SAOG has announced strong financial results for 2020 with profit after tax rising 44%. The diluted earnings per share increased from 36 Bzsto 52 Bzs.

Net cash flow from operating profit also increased to RO2.5 million ($6.47 million). With the support of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the company produced its first Ministry of Health-registered drug products.

“NDC is leading the way to producing products in Oman for Omanis, local residents and tourists. When Omani people demand products like Farah hand sanitizer versus products made in other countries, the country benefits in numerous ways,” said Bill Hunt, Chief Executive Officer of NDC.

“Omanis responded very well to Farah hand sanitizer due to its highly favoured rose fragrance and noting the high quality of the product that is registered and approved by MOH and carries a ‘Drug Facts’ label. Consumers move towards a healthier tomorrow when they choose and use sanitizers with the drug facts label on the back.”
