OWS Capital Investments, a Dubai-based multi-platform investment company, has announced the launch of the World Football Series that will include names of football legends that have moulded the industry.

 

The sporting event, formed alongwith retired French footballer Ibrahim Ba, is due to launch later this year. 

 

Ba said: “Having played with some of the biggest football teams and players in the world, I wanted to reunite some of my friends with the sport that they love most. I also wanted to create an event that would connect the people of the region, after what has been one of the most isolating times that my generation has ever experienced.” 

 

The former star, who played for the French national team as well as international clubs such as A.C. Milan, A.C. Perugia Calcio, Bordeaux and Olympique de Marseille, added: “I am very excited to be working with my close friend, Oweis Zahran, and his team on this project that will surely be one that the region has never seen before and one that will remain in the history books for years to come.”

 

Set to be held in the UAE, the tournament is expected to receive global exposure and interest.
