Three dark kitchen concepts set for Dubai launch in Q1

DUBAI, December 20, 2021

UAE restaurant consultancy, Restaurant Secrets Inc., will launch three new dark kitchen concepts in Dubai during the first quarter of 2022; Sumaya’s, a modern Emirati fusion brand in Mirdif; and urban eating brand Avorito, which will house both Bang! Bang! Burrito, and Avo/Cato in its JLT-based kitchen.
 
Set to open first in Mirdif is Sumaya’s, a kitchen that aims to blend traditional Emirati cuisine with popular international flavours. Inspired by the F&B tastes of progressive and glamourous cities in the world Sumaya’s combines Dubai’s favourite imported dishes with classic Emirati cuisine creating a distinctive, yet familiar menu.
 
Restaurant Secrets CEO & Founder Gabrielle F. Mather said: “The demographics and target market in the burgeoning Mirdif area is a healthy mix of UAE nationals and expats, providing the right target market and segmentation for Sumaya’s menu. It will be the first dark kitchen to focus on the ‘Dubai’ taste of things to come.” 
 
On the menu, customers can expect to see dishes like peppercorn camel fettuccini with cream sauce and spinach or a twist on a traditional Umm Ali being transformed into a milkshake for dessert. 
 
Opening at the other end of town is Avorito, a project in JLT with two out of-the-box brands operating from the same kitchen. There’s Bang! Bang! Burrito – a fun-food and lifestyle brand that takes inspiration from cities like Cancun, Miami and LA. This kitchen brings diners creativity on a plate with its menu that features dishes like spiced beef tenderloin with red rice, charred corn with caramelised onions, black beans and a variety of sauces.
 
Mather said: “JLT kitchens can deliver across JBR, Dubai Marina, Emirates Living and more. The lifestyle-seeking urban target market here responds well to both wholesome eating as well as late night ordering in, making it the perfect choice for Avorito’s diverse menu.”  
 
Avorito will also operate Avo/Cato, a brand making nourishing choices and serving Avocado-based meals. Think beef and mushroom melts, grilled chicken or roast beef, plus kale and quinoa, all with a quirky twist.-TradeArabia News Service
