Riyadh traffic violations top 700,000 in 3 months

Riyadh Traffic Department has recorded more than 700,000 traffic violations in the Saudi capital, according local media reports.
The Traffic Department also booked 749 car drifters and spectators, the Arab News said citing an Al-Watan report.
It also discovered 244 unlicensed workshops.
The traffic offences included 33,365 cases of driving without licenses, 33,063 instances of absent car registration documents, 59,112 records of dismissed traffic signals, 68,538 irregular parking violations, 34,663 erroneous overtaking, and numerous other traffic infringements.
Inter-city over-speeding cases totalled 66,253, followed by 62,465 cases of absent car plates or blurred ones.
