MANAMA, June 18, 2023

Bahrain-based Vatel Hospitality & Tourism Business School has reached an agreement with Conrad Bahrain Financial Harbour, a luxury hotel brand from hospitality major Hilton, to provide training opportunities for its students in the fields of hospitality and tourism.

Hilton currently operates two hotels in the kingdom – Hilton Bahrain and Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay and has another two openings in the pipeline – Conrad Residences Bahrain Financial Harbour and Hilton Manama City Centre Residences.

Conrad Residences Bahrain Financial Harbour is being developed by Sayacorp Aqar, the real estate and property development arm of Sayacorp.

The agreement was inked by Shaikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the General Director of Vatel Hospitality and Tourism Business School, and Chantel Moore, the General Manager of Conrad Bahrain Financial Harbour, in the presence of Regional Director of Human Resources for Hilton Hotel, Ahmed Lasheen, and Sayacorp Aqar CEO Fawaz Ali Al Jowder.

Welcoming the agreement, Shaikh Khaled said it will facilitate the exchange of experiences in the fields of hospitality and tourism.

"Students will benefit greatly from the partnership with Conrad Bahrain Financial Harbour, which is affiliated with the Hilton Group, one of the largest hospitality and hotel companies in the world," he stated.

Moore said the cooperation agreement could raise the level of Bahraini competencies and cadres in the tourism, hotel and hospitality sectors, through theoretical and practical academic programmes offered by Vatel.

She expressed her happiness at strengthening cooperation between the hotel and the college, stressing that Conrad Bahrain Financial Harbour is keen to provide distinguished experiences, development and training to students who will be leaders in the hospitality sector of Bahrain.

"The employment of Vatel graduates demonstrates the foundations of co-operation and partnership, and contributed to achieving the tourism strategy 2022-2026," she added.-TradeArabia News Service
