ABB wins $104m power order in UAE

  ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has won an order worth $104 million from Fewa (Federal Electricity & Water Authority) in the UAE, to supply substations that will help increase power supplies in the north.  
   

  SWCC eyes revamp of power, water plants
Riyadh : 
  Saudi state-run utility the Saline Water Conversion Corp (SWCC) is spending hundreds of millions of dollars to revamp its power and water plants and extend their lifespan, an SWCC official said.     
   
  Iran mulls $1.5bn in bonds for energy plans
Tehran : 
  Iran plans to issue foreign currency bonds of $1.5 billion to help finance hydro-electric projects in the 2010-11 year, a senior official was quoted on Tuesday as saying.
