Adipec is exhibiting at OTC
Abu Dhabi

Adipec, one of the largest international petroleum exhibition and conferences in the world, is once again exhibiting at the UAE pavilion at OTC, ahead of it’s 2008 exhibition.

The three-day OTC started on May 5 in Houston, US, and Adipec is supported by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), Al Khazna Insurance, ADTA and Gastech.

OTC has attracted over 150 of the UAE’s top businessmen from across the energy sector, including top executives from the Adnoc group of companies led by the US Commercial Services (US Embassy, Abu Dhabi).

Later in the year Adipec 2008, to be held in Abu Dhabi from November 3 to 6, expects to host between 35,000 to 40,000 industry executives who are spearheading the growth and development of the global oil and gas industry.

Abu Dhabi offers itself as a modern business destination acting as a gateway between east and west with short flight distances to oil producing Arab countries.

“Two thirds of the world’s known oil reserves are concentrated in the Gulf region and the global demand for oil is rising phenomenally. Indications of this exceptional oil capacity growth in the Middle East have sparked the relocation to the region of international companies,” said deputy CEO, Adnoc, Abdulla Nasser Al Suweidi.

“Abu Dhabi accounts for more than 94 per cent of the UAE’s oil output and invests billions of dollars annually in order to sustain the fast pace of growth in oil exploration, production, processing, maintenance and infrastructure development, resulting in huge investments for oil and gas infrastructure across the region.”

Supported by Adnoc, UAE Ministry of Energy and SPE (the Society of Petroleum Engineers) along with many other international institutions and organisations Adipec is the only international oil and gas show with representation from major IOCs, NOCs and operating companies.

Participating companies at Adipec 2008 have already booked all the available space in the indoor exhibition halls, equating to 57,000m2 - this already makes the Adipec 2008 Exhibition 80 per cent larger than the last event - with stand space on the concourse and outside still being sold.

Adipec 2008 will offer exhibitors and visitors a global presentation of the latest technologies and innovations from the oil and gas industry and will include country pavilion displays from USA, Canada, UK, France, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Spain, Russia, China, India, Turkey and Iran. – TradeArabia News Service
