Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), which is listed company on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, has committed to increase the number of UAE nationals following the success of Tawdheef, the recruitment show.
TAQA’s strategy on Emiratisation is to recruit, train, develop and integrate UAE Nationals at all levels of the business and to help Emiratis become leading professionals in the energy sector.
An important part of this commitment is increasing the number of UAE Nationals occupying various roles within the organisation through a series of new initiatives at TAQA, which include the following programmes:
• Emiratisation Trainee Programme - recruit and train UAE nationals at the graduate level and ultimately develop a team of professionals highly proficient in all areas of TAQA's business.
• A Leadership Programme - create opportunities for experienced UAE Nationals with a view to creating the next generation of executive leadership across the company’s global business.
• Internship Programme – a programme for undergraduate students which combines live experience in their business with workshops and seminars dedicated to the career development of participants.
“The energy industry is one of the most important industries in the region and we are aiming to attract more UAE nationals to work in the sector and gain international experience,' said Carl Sheldon, general manager, TAQA.-TradeArabia News Service
