Iran’s mega methanol plant work on track

TEHRAN, March 2, 2015

Construction work on what Iran says will be the world’s largest methanol plant is 70 per cent complete, a report said.

The Kaveh methanol plant in the city of Bandar Dayyer is designed to produce two million metric tonnes per year of methanol and will be commissioned in two phases, according to the Chemical Week report.

The first phase is expected to start production in August with full operations likely to commence in 2016, the report added.
