Morocco-Portugal power link study launched

LISBON, June 9, 2016

A technical and economic feasibility study for the electric interconnection with a capacity of 1,000 megawatts between Morocco and Portugal has been launched, a report said.

Moroccan energy minister Abdelkader Amara said that the project will link the two countries for the first time in the field of electricity, according to Morocco World News.

The project will also inject electricity from renewable sources, the report said.
