Geze launches innovative energy-efficient solutions

DUBAI, November 2, 2016

Geze, a global leading player in building technologies, officially introduced its refurbishment, remodelling and replacement R3 program at a recent industry event held in Dubai, UAE.

The company move is aimed at building on the leading position in automation of doors, windows and façades engineering that it enjoys in the Middle East region.

The R3 programme aims to provide energy-efficient solutions for existing structures to their lower operational costs and overall carbon footprint.

Hosted for a group of more than 200 facility managers, engineers and architects along with Geze's key partners, the interactive afternoon held at Al Murooj Rotana in Downtown Dubai, was intended to emphasise on the importance of sustainable buildings and engineering of the future.

A leading developer and manufacturer of construction systems for door, window and safety technology, Geze said the summit provided guests with further insight into the industry through presentations of its innovative AMO services and in particular the R3 program.

Expert guests included Gilles Vandevoorde, the managing director of Wiss Janney Elstner (WJE) DMCC, who commented: "Automation applied to an efficient facade or enclosure will magnify its efficiency and vice versa when automation is applied to an inefficient envelope it will result in magnified inefficiency."

Addressing the gathering, Charles Constantin, the managing director of Geze Middle East, said: "New research implies that the UAE and the rest of the GCC are slowly switching their focus on new low-energy architectural design in tandem with the rapid infrastructure development strategies in place across the region."

"Remodelling and refurbishment have become a core topic notably within the 2020 objectives of most Middle Eastern countries and has successfully contributed to the economic development of the region as a whole," he noted.

Constantin pointed out that Geze Middle East was taking a pro-active leadership role in this important sector of the construction industry in the region with initiation of programmes such as R3, by providing reliable, competent and fully comprehensive contracts to clients who wish to change their existing building structures into automated, low energy consuming, smart buildings of the future.

The agenda for the afternoon covered all facets of the R3 programme from the best use of key technologies and products developed by Geze to automation and safety measures incorporated in engineering and design of facades as well as live discussion with Geze's R3 program sales specialist and service supervisor.

Finally, a full presentation of the R3 programme from initialisation to completion and after care of systems was held at the event through case studies of completed projects under the programme.-TradeArabia News Service
