KBR unit wins major US Army IT services deal

HOUSTON, January 8, 2019

KBR, a global provider of professional services and technologies, has announced that SGT LLC, a business unit of KBRwyle, has won a seat on the $12.1-billion US Army Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-3 (ITES-3) Services Contract.
KBRwyle is KBR's global government services business.
The US Army Contracting Command (ACC) selected KBRwyle as a prime contractor on the potential nine-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract. The contract has a base period of five years plus four option years.
The Army's Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) programme manages the contract, which is expected to be the Army's prime source of IT-related services worldwide.

The services will directly assist the Army in meeting its global infrastructure needs.
"This contract is an important opportunity for KBRwyle to expand on its existing technical and IT-related work with the US Army," said Byron Bright, president, KBR Government Services US.
"We understand the importance of technology-based solutions and on-demand access to information, and look forward to supplying these state-of-the-art IT services to support the warfighter and the Army's global mission."
