Metso Outotec wins Mideast raw water treatment plant order

Metso Outotec, a leading Finnish mining engineering company with a major presence in the Middle East, has secured a engineering and technology contract for the delivery of a raw water treatment unit for a gold plant project in the region. 
 
The raw water treatment plant, which represents one of Metso Outotec’s many Planet Positive technologies, will help ensure the gold plant’s process performance and efficiency. 
 
Cleaned municipal waste water is used as the raw water source for the new raw water treatment plant, said the company in a statement.
 
The order value exceeds €10 million ($11.7 million) and it has been booked in minerals’ Q3/2021 orders received, it added.
 
A frontrunner in sustainable technologies, end-to-end solutions and services for the aggregates, minerals processing and metals refining industries globally, Metso Outotec pointed out that it had delivered over 30 water treatment plants for the minerals processing industry across the globe. 
 
Headquartered in Helsinki, Metso Outotec employs over 15,000 people in more than 50 countries and its sales for 2020 were about €3.9 billion ($4.6 billion).-TradeArabia News Service
