Amman, June 21, 2008

UAE’s Tameer Holding, the region’s leading real estate developer, unveiled plans to build the highest tower in Jordan, a $300 million project which will be developed within Abdali Urban Regeneration Project.

The project comes in line with Tameer’s expansion plans in the Kingdom, adding yet another architectural achievement to its outstanding record in providing exceptional projects, said Mohammad Habib, general manager of Tameer in the Kingdom at a press conference in Amman.

Ali Al Mufleh, Tameer business development manager and Tariq Aruri, Tameer sales and marketing director, also attended the conference which was held on the sidelines of "The Forth Architectural Conference: High Rise Buildings".

Unveiling the model of the tower, Habib said, “As part of our continuous endeavors to expand our operations in Jordan, and as a result of the economic growth the country is witnessing, we are planning to build the highest tower in the Kingdom."

"This more than 220 meter tower will be a masterpiece; one that also would incorporate the world-class standards that Tameer always applies in all its projects," he noted.

"Tameer’s newest tower, which will be a commercial tower, will be built on the first plot of Al Abdali Urban Regeneration Project, the Kingdom’s biggest real estate project, which sits on an area of 447 thousand sqm with an investment value exceeding JD2 billion ($2.82 billion).

According to Habib, the tower will be designed by "Foster + Partners", one of the most renowned international architecture firms that has earned many major architectural awards for different projects around the world.

The tower will provide its future clients with services that are tailor-made to meet their needs.

"This exclusive, first-of-its-kind tower in Jordan, will become the destination for all major local and international companies that seek excellence, exclusivity and a dynamic business environment that provides them with a luxurious lifestyle, the type that Tameer is experienced at providing with such excellence."

This tower will include state-of-the-art meeting and conference rooms, luxurious and fully equipped health spas and clubs, swimming pools, state-of-the-art business centers, more than 30 high-speed elevators that are especially designed to make moving among the floors a fast and easy trip, parking lots that take up more than 1000 cars.

Furthermore, a number of floors in the tower will be ornamented with breathtaking greenery while allowing residents to enjoy the charming view of both the old and new parts of Amman, Habib said.

The average area of each floor of the tower will be 1200 sqm. Moreover, the tower will be surrounded by two other buildings, each an 8 story construction, allocated for commercial use.

Habib stressed that environmental concerns were earnestly taken into consideration while designing the tower. The tall building will eco-friendly as all materials used will help to save energy. There will also be alternative energy sources such as solar cells.

Habib concluded “We are proud to be part of this promising project that represents a landmark in the Jordanian scene. The Jordanian market is currently witnessing many developments that render Jordan the best location for investments."

"We are confident that this tower will add a new dynamic touch to Jordan," he added.

He also stressed that Tameer will be managing and marketing the tower project through its offices spread all over the Arab world.-TradeArabia News Service
