Emaar readies Jordan resort project design
Amman

Emaar International Jordan, the country subsidiary of Emaar Properties, has completed the second phase design of 'The Apartments,' a residential community in Samarah Dead Sea Resort, with construction set to commence shortly.

The second phase complements the growing investor interest in the JD354 million ($500 million) development, which will further gain from the Jordanian Government’s drive to develop the Dead Sea region.

The progress on the project further highlights the property sector dynamic of the Dead Sea region and Samarah’s contribution to the local economy.

The project also underscores the superior property development standards brought to the region by Emaar, which has a track-record in creating internationally acclaimed projects across the world.

A cluster of eight low-rise buildings, The Apartments is an integral part of Rift Living homes, one of the key components of Samarah Dead Sea Resort, a mixed-use project featuring all modern amenities including retail outlets, hotels, Beach Club and leisure facilities in close proximity.

The Rift Living homes are located directly on the Dead Sea, adjacent to the waterway and across Wadi Mukheiris from the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre and Samarah Dead Sea Resort Sales Centre.

Radzi Zakaria, general manager of Emaar International Jordan, said: “Samarah Dead Sea Resort is an unparalleled development in the Dead Sea region as it integrates the world-class design and development competencies of Emaar Properties.

'As a resort-themed project, Samarah is billed to energise the tourism and property sector growth of the Dead Sea region. This perfectly fits with the Government’s plans to boost the region through focused investments,' Zakaria pointed out.

“We have completed the design of the second phase of The Apartments, with the first phase having opened to strong customer response earlier. Emaar International Jordan has unveiled model homes which give potential investors a true touch-and-feel experience enabling them to make informed choices,” he stated.

The work on Dead Sea Resort is currently progressing on schedule with several Jordanian contractors undertaking work. Super-structures of three buildings within Rift Living are being undertaken alongside mechanical, electrical and plumbing works.

Samarah Dead Sea Resort is owned by The Dead Sea Touristic and Real Estate Company, a venture of Emaar Properties and a group of regional and Jordanian investors.

The project is in line with the growth plan for Jordan as outlined by the King Abdullah II Fund for Development.-TradeArabia News Service
