Thai firm to launch Oud perfume at Jeddah show

BANGKOK, November 20, 2014

Thailand’s Treedom, a luxury aromatic Oud oil manufacture, plans to introduce Dar al Oud, the premium brand of Oud oil and Oud fragrances at an upcoming international health and beauty show in Jeddah.

Saudi Health and Beauty 2014 will run from November 24 to 27at Jeddah Centre for forums and events.

Andrew Steel, CEO of the Treedom Group said: “Going in the Saudi market this time requires a lot of preparation but we are confident as our product quality is well-accepted by the Middle East customers.”

“We will bring the whole set of quality products to showcase in this exhibition. Our Oud oil quality and supply are guaranteed by ISO 9001:2008 certificates for plantation and factory management and secured production capacity with our own raw material supply (Agarwood trees).

“Pure Oud oil is getting very good responses from the Middle East from a number of exhibitions we attended in the past. We have clients from over 50 countries around the world, not only in the Middle East. We strongly believe that our Oud oil will impress our Saudi customers, just like other Middle East countries and it will be another good sales boost for the year end,” he added.

“Oud oil is very popular in the Middle East region as it is one of the main ingredients in many cosmetics and fragrances. This results in an increase in demand for Oud oil in the Middle East yet there are only a few countries in the world that have perfect growing conditions for planting Agarwood trees.

“One of those countries is Thailand, which makes it a big supplier of Oud oil with increasing exports every year. Saudi Arabia in particular is now known as the world’s biggest market for Oud oil. In 2013, the export rate to Saudi Arabia is 250 per cent of 2012, valued at over $112.5 million.

“Saudi Arabia is the biggest market for Oud oil and beauty products in the Middle East, and the demand for Oud oil is increasing massively every year. As the market leader, we see the potential in expanding our customer base to the Saudi market and we have decided to exhibit our product at It is a great opportunity to step forward into this country. Treedom is the only company from Thailand who exhibits at this event. We expect that the sales this year will increase 10% from last year,” Steel concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
