Singapore targets Bahraini tourists at BITE
Manama

Singapore is looking to attract an increasing number of Bahraini travellers as it introduces a host of major events and attractions over the coming year which will form an integral part of its unique transformation strategy.

The Garden City is showcasing unique and exciting activities that visitors can experience while in Singapore at the Bahrain International Travel Expo (BITE) now on at the  Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is laying the foundation for tourism growth with new events and attractions, including the Singapore Flyer, the world’s largest observation wheel, and 2008 Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix, the world’s first-ever F1 night race and Asia’s first street circuit.

“We are using our presence at BITE to raise awareness of the extensive range of attractions, entertainment and leisure options available in the ‘Transformed Singapore’, as part of our ongoing plans to reach out to people in this region,” said area director, Middle East and Africa, Singapore Tourism Board , Jason Ong.

Upcoming events and attractions include the Great Singapore Sale from May 23 to July 20, 2008, as well as the opening of the new Peranakan Museum, which is the world’s first museum to explore the history of the early Chinese immigrants in the British Straits Settlements.

Singapore aims to strengthen its brand among Bahraini travellers by communicating its position as a sophisticated and vibrant world-class destination offering diverse and exciting experiences for both new and repeat visitors. – TradeArabia News Service
