Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, has received two Airbus A321-200 aircraft from Dublin-based Macquarie AirFinance, an aircraft leasing company.
With this delivery, Macquarie AirFinance will have three A320 family aircraft on lease to Gulf Air.
'The seamless addition of these aircraft is part of the national carrier’s strategy to boost operations out of Bahrain hub and in line with our plans for future growth and expansion,' said Gulf Air chief executive officer Björn Näf.
The aircraft, which will be operated on key Gulf and Indian subcontinent routes, will further enhance the airline's capacity to cope with its winter needs, Näf concluded.
Chief executive officer of Macquarie AirFinance John Willingham said he was delighted with the tie-up with Gulf Air.
“We are pleased to expand our existing relationship with Gulf Air and will continue to seek opportunities to extend the airline’s presence in the rapidly growing Middle Eastern and Asian markets,” he said. – TradeArabia News Service
