The Yellow Boats, a leading provider of speedboat tours, has launched its operations in the UAE capital with guided tours of signature attractions such as the Abu Dhabi Corniche and the iconic Emirates Palace.

The latest tourism product to arrive in the UAE capital, ‘The Yellow Boats’ are providing a unique way to explore Abu Dhabi city’s headline-grabbing new developments and stunning coastline, said Ahmed Hussein, deputy director general of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA).

‘The Yellow Boats’ also offer ‘Natural Wildlife Tour’ and ‘Ultimate Thrill Ride’ for those looking for a nature adventure or an adrenaline rush.

“Abu Dhabi is home to us, so it made sense to launch here, and the future potential for our business is enormous,” said Tony Adams, managing director of  The Yellow Boats.

“With its unique waterfront developments, and endless sun, sand and coastline, Abu Dhabi fits perfectly with our speedboat tour offering. There’s really no better way to experience the thrill of Abu Dhabi’s rising skylines on Reem, Yas and Saadiyat Islands,” he observed.

Tours can be tailor-made and last between 30 and 60 minutes, leaving from the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club near Marina Mall and are available on request, said Adams.

Drop-offs and pick-ups are also possible at Yas Marina Circuit and Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri Marina. The Yellow Boats are also available for private charter and corporate functions.

According to him, top-of-the-line rigid inflatable craft, with the ability to slice through the waters at high speed in total safety, are manned by experienced and fully qualified boat crews.

"The 12-seater Rib boats are powered by the latest generation engines and each boat comes with GPS navigation, tracking equipment and DSC VHF radios which automatically transmit the boats position in an emergency. Individual life jackets and safety equipment are provided for everyone on board," he explained.

Hussein pointed out that the growing portfolio of tourism offerings in the nation’s capital was truly encouraging. "Within the last two months private sector enterprises have boosted the visitor experience with new products ranging from open-top bus tours of the city, hot air balloon trips over the desert and now speed boat tours."

"With the destination having been tipped by both the Lonely Planet and Frommer’s as a top 10 place to visit in 2010, these new products will greatly help us to deliver on such influential recommendations," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
