Gulf Hotel wins top WTA award

Gulf Hotel has won the award for Bahrain's Leading Business Hotel at this year's World Travel Awards in Dubai.

"This award represents a great honour for the group and for Bahrain," said Gulf Hotels Group chief executive Aqeel Raees.

"The Gulf Hotels Group prides itself as operators of outstanding hotels, restaurants and catering services and always strives for excellence.However, this would not be possible without a hard working team so I would like to dedicate this award to them and say thank you for making this success possible.

"I would also like to add that I am very pleased and happy that this year's Formula 1 was such a success, this is something that we are all very proud of and see as a long-term investment in the country's future," he said.

"I am very happy to have won this particular award as it also shows how Bahrain is continuing to grow as a business hub for the region," he added.

The Gulf Hotel also enjoyed a successful and busy four days at the 2012 Arabian Travel Market, participating as part of the Gulf Hotels Group exhibition stand.

The team met numerous international clients and partners from the industry and hosted a reception for its top clients in the stand.

In addition to the five-star Gulf Hotel, the group also showcased its four-star deluxe property the K Hotel, its five-star Ocean Paradise property in Zanzibar, as well as the recently announced partnership with a luxury, fully-serviced apartments property based in Amwaj islands which is set to open early 2013. – TradeArabia News Service
