Dubai's Burj Khalifa invites artists to display work on building

DUBAI, January 22, 2018

The iconic Burj Khalifa is offering creative artists the unprecedented opportunity to showcase their work on its brand-new LED façade, which has been the centre of attraction of the ‘Light Up 2018’ Downtown Dubai spectacle.

Emerging designers and artists can compete by presenting their proposals and have their work displayed on the iconic structure’s façade. Submissions can be made individually or as groups by those in the UAE or from across the world.

From the entries received, 10 creative works by 10 artists will be selected, which will be displayed on Burj Khalifa’s LED façade. The creative works will also be featured on the tower’s social media channels reaching a wider audience globally.

The entry must be a five-minute video in MOV format and the content must be created for a minimal viewing distance of 100 metres. A template for content creation and more details are provided at: http://burjkhalifa.ae/en/open-call/.

Proposals should be sent by email to: artanddesign@burjkhalifa.ae. The last date of submissions is February 28, 2018.

At 828 metres (2,716.5 ft), the 200-plus-storey Burj Khalifa has 160 habitable levels, the most of any building in the world, and the new LED façade is the worlds’ single largest display surface. - TradeArabia News Service
