New Siyam resort expected to open up tourism in Maldives atoll

MALDIVES, October 31, 2021

A new world of possibilities has arrived in the Maldives’ Noonu Atoll, with the official opening of the island resort Siyam World.

A playground promising an array of accommodation options and experiences across land, sea and sky, Siyam World is expected to transform the Maldivian holiday mould with its new vision of the Indian Ocean archipelago’s natural wonders.

Islanders had an opening ceremony before the arrival of the first guests with the hoisting of Siyam World, The Beach House Collection and Maldives flag and a speech by the managing director followed by breakfast. To celebrate the milestone moment for Maldives tourism, the first arrivals were welcomed with a traditional Maldivian dance and bodu beru.

Sun Siyam Resorts Managing Director Ahmed Siyam, the person behind Siyam World Maldives, said: “This island is one of the products we have developed as a group, a game changer and record breaker in every way. We are excited to welcome our very first guests at Siyam World and looking forward to deliver an unforgettable holiday experience for everyone.”

Forging its own path away from the Maldivian mainstream, Siyam World is on a mission to offer guests inimitable experiences and pioneering concepts. Guests can indulge in various experiences – such as mastering the waves with unlimited access to the Indian Ocean’s floating water park, Siyam Water World; to polishing their footwork on the resort’s FIFA-standard football pitch.

As for culinary options, breakfast is served at beachside buffets Tempo and Baraabaru, while Jungali, Mint, The Orchid and Together form a quartet of all-day pool bars. As evening falls, guests can enjoy à la carte Spanish, Japanese, Indian and Thai cuisine at Andalucia, Arigato, Kurry Leaf and Takrai complimented by Maldivian restaurant, The Wahoo Grill.

The resort is a 40 minutes’ direct seaplane ride from Velana International Airport, and also accessible via a 30-minute domestic flight to Maafaru Airport followed by a 10-minute speedboat trip.-TradeArabia News Service
