Top Saudi aviation event to discuss $100bn investment opportunities

Leading global industry experts and several transport ministers and other regional aviation bodies will be in Riyadh next month for The Future Aviation Forum, which will put spotlight on the investment opportunities in the sector worth $100 billion by 2030.
 
The forum, which is being organised by the General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) from May 9 to 11, will also see the participation of heads of civil aviation commissions, specialists and international and regional organizations concerned with the civil aviation. 
 
The event will focus on the future investment opportunities and the contribution of the civil aviation to the economic growth, where some sessions will highlight the private sector's perspective on investment opportunities in the aviation field in Saudi Arabia, in addition to three main aspects of the forum of innovation, growth and sustainability, which are described as main and effective aspects in the civil aviation industry, said a statement from GACA.
 
The three-day event will also see experts discuss investment opportunities in the civil aviation sector and shed light on the possibility of expansion of the kingdom's aviation sector to realize the strategic Saudi Vision 2030 in helping it become a hub for global aviation. 
 
Several CEOs of international air transport companies and businesspeople will be at the forum to discuss the future of regional aviation industry. More than 120 speakers will be taking part in the 40 odd sessions to be held over three-day period.
 
At the forum, leading experts will highlight the need for unifying global efforts to develop the air transport industry, and preparing policies and systems in a way that keeps pace with global developments and changes and also encourage the signing of strategic partnerships in this regard, it added.
 
According to GACA, the event aims at finding solutions that can contribute to the prosperity of the civil aviation sector in the coming years, especially that the phase facing the sector requires the importance of activating global cooperation activities in the civil aviation and empowering cooperative work to support realizing ambitions, innovation and preparing necessary policies to guarantee a promising future for the sector.
 
Many see the Future Aviation Forum as a gathering point for senior leaders of the industry in Riyadh and are seeking cooperation to push forward towards ambition, innovation and preparing the necessary policies to guarantee a promising future for this industry.-TradeArabia News Service
