Qatar flight bookings from the Middle East have jumped 5,772% during the tournament, compared to bookings in January 2022, said Sojern, a provider of digital marketing platform for the travel industry.

UAE remains the top feeder market with consistent growth month-over-month of 3%, and comprises 17% of all bookings to Qatar over the World Cup period, with the US (7%), India (6%), UK (6%) and Saudi Arabia (4%) making up the remainder of the top five.

Of the 20 top countries, Argentina is growing at the fastest rate, followed by Bangladesh, Sojern said in the report.

Bookings from APAC to GCC countries are up over 17,000% from the beginning of the year. APAC has caught up to the same amount of bookings as Europe. – TradeArabia News Service
