Arab World 'yet to overcome crisis'
Dubai:

The Arab World is yet to get over the current global financial crisis, said Amr Moussa, the secretary-general of the League of Arab States.

In an interview with CNBC Arabiya, during the Arab Media Forum 2009 held in Dubai this week, Moussa said that the region is still recovering from the impact of the financial crisis.

On results of the extraordinary meeting of the Arab Transport Ministers Council, Amr Moussa said that projects for inter-linking Arab states through roads and railway networks, which the Kuwait Economic Summit endorsed earlier this year, have been submitted to Middle East-based consultancy groups.

He also pointed out that the efforts to tackle the crisis originate from the Arab Monetary Fund responsible for laying necessary guidelines and its outcomes on the Arab states and its financial institutions.-TradeArabia News Service
