The Kempinski Hotel Ishtar, Dead Sea, Jordan, has unveiled extensive new meeting, conference and banqueting facilities, positioning the resort as one of the leading venues for both corporate and social events in the region.
Already well-known for its wellness and leisure offer, the property is now focusing on catering to the MICE market with the introduction of bespoke packages and amenities.
Positioned in the resort’s striking Arabesque main building, the new facilities include a ballroom accommodating 800 guests, complete with a digital conferencing and interpretation system, LCD projector, screen and progressive sound system, said a hotel official.
The auditorium which seats 216 is complete with a cinema screen, LCD projector, surround speakers, video conferencing and a mobile interpretation system. The 10 break-out rooms and conference rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art AV systems and located near several private dining areas.
“With the conference facilities up and running, we are in a strong position to accommodate the growing MICE industry in Jordan. We offer organizers an extensive portfolio of services in a luxurious setting, with extravagant amenities and state-of-the-art technology,” said regional director and general manager, Kempinski Hotel Ishtar, Duncan O’Rourke.
The Kempinski Hotel Ishtar recently co-hosted the World Economic Forum which saw representatives from around the world, in both the public and private sectors, discuss the global economic agenda.
“An event of such caliber, gathering the industry leaders in business, politics, media and academia, could only be held in a place suited to the profile of its guests. This property was the perfect choice to suit the needs and requirements for such a forum. It was a great honour for us, and it gave us the opportunity to showcase our capacity to host a world-class event,” added O’Rourke.
