Bahrain fifth cheapest in petrol rates

Manama, September 10, 2011

Bahrain has the fifth cheapest petrol rates in the world, according to statistics from Car Insurer Stavely Head.

Petrol is cheapest in Caracas, Venezuela, followed by Saudi Arabia, Libya and
Turkmenistan.

The sixth slot went to Kuwait, followed by Qatar, Egypt, Oman and Algeria, according to a study published by Al Sharq Al Awsat newspaper on Friday.

Norway’s capital, Oslo, tops the rankings with an average price of 100 cents per litre, as compared to 90 cents in the UK which has the third priciest pump rates in the
world.

The study followed complaints by British motorists about petrol prices.-TradeArabia News Service
