Energy Globe presents on June 5 the world’s best environmental projects that show how one can preserve a livable future for the children.

The selection of the nominees in the five categories has been conducted by the international Energy Globe Jury, consisting of one representative from each continent, chaired by Maneka Gandhi.

The Energy Globe Award, a private Austrian initiative, has been held every year since the year 2000, and is today the world’s most renowned environmental prize with over 180 participating countries. Each year, between 2,000 and 3,000 projects are submitted.

The motto of this unique event is not to be against something, but to present solutions for the environment and to connect economy and consumers in a cooperation for the environment.

Energy Globe has succeeded in getting the UNIDO, the Global Chamber platform, the Advantage Austria and the Club of Rome as partners.

The diversity and quality of the submissions are overwhelming, as can be seen and heard via streaming presented by Arabella Kiesbauer on June 5 in the afternoon at 5 p.m. (CEST) at www.energyglobe.info.

Among the nominees there are outstanding projects from all continents. It will be shown how the future of energy can be mastered with new ecological energy, how the food chain can be managed in a sustainable way, or how the air pollution can be combatted using new methods.

Initiator Wolfgang Neumann is enthusiastic: “It is really great that there are so many people who are working actively on solutions for our environment and who are implementing them according to the motto – don’t just talk about environmental problems but do something about it.” Almost 30,000 submitted projects show that today there already are solutions for every environmental problem in every country. “We have to present them, support them and if possible, improve them with our know-how. The ozone hole has shown us what is possible when action is taken.”-- TradeArabia News Service
