NBB wins top honours at Euromoney Banking Awards

The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has been named the kingdom’s Best Cash Management Bank for 2025 at the Euromoney Transaction Banking Awards, in recognition of its leadership in delivering integrated cash management solutions and advancing digital capabilities across the corporate banking sector.

The award acknowledges significant progress achieved by NBB in its Transaction Banking business. Central to this achievement was the full rollout of DigiCorp, the Bank’s unified corporate online banking platform, said NBB in a statement.

It provides a single interface for payments, collections, liquidity oversight, supply chain finance, and treasury requirements, giving corporates greater visibility and operational efficiency.

In parallel, NBB launched DigiConnect, its Host-to-Host integration solution, further enabling large corporates to automate workflows and benefit from straight-through processing. The platform allows direct integration with clients’ ERP and financial systems with file-based or API-based options for automated reconciliation, it stated.

NBB’s offering suite is further enhanced by an array of digital acceptance channels, including Point of Sale (POS), NBB GO (SoftPOS), Payment Gateway, and Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs) that provide businesses with convenient, secure, and efficient tools to manage day-to-day collections and deposits.

The Bank also expanded its regional and international partnerships, including collaborations with fintech providers in the GCC, as well as global payment schemes. These initiatives helped introduce new cash and trade capabilities, strengthened security features, and expanded merchant acquiring arrangements.

In addition to its broad solution set, NBB distinguishes itself with strong customisation capabilities, tailoring its cash management offerings to meet the operational needs of clients across various sectors.

On the key achievement, Group CEO Usman Ahmed said: "We are truly honoured to receive the Euromoney award for Best Cash Management Bank in Bahrain. This recognition reflects our commitment to delivering digital-first that empower our clients to operate with greater efficiency and control."

"We will continue to invest in advanced technology and enhance our cash management ecosystem to support businesses across the Kingdom and other geographies where NBB operates," he stated.

The prestigious Euromoney Transaction Banking Awards honour institutions that demonstrate innovation, measurable client impact, and leadership across cash management, payments, trade finance, and technology. NBB’s win underscores the Bank’s continued commitment to shaping a more efficient and digitally enabled financial ecosystem for the Kingdom.
