Bahrain to host 3rd International Tourism Investment Forum in October

Fatima Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Board of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), announced that Bahrain has been selected to host the International Tourism Investment Forum (ITIF 2026) in October.

The minister held a meeting with Shaikha Al Nowais, the Secretary General of UN Tourism for the 2026–2029 term, on the sidelines of the 52nd Meeting of the UN Tourism Regional Commission for the Middle East and the "Promoting Tourism through Artificial Intelligence" conference in Kuwait, reported BNA.

Both sides discussed means to strengthen cooperation and reviewed preparations for hosting the forum.

Minister Al Sairafi said hosting ITIF for the first time in Bahrain marks a key milestone in developing the tourism sector, showcasing the kingdom’s modern infrastructure, supportive investment environment, and world-class facilities.

She added that the forum will strengthen Bahrain’s international presence, attract high-quality investments, support economic growth, and align with the Tourism Strategy 2022–2026 while reinforcing the private sector’s role.
