Bahrain's Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry has signed a letter of intent with The Helicopter Company (THC), a company of Saudi sovereign wealth fund PIF, to operate direct helicopter flights between Bahrain and the city of Dammam in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province.
The LoI was signed during the launch of the National Aviation Strategy (2026–2027) by the ministry.
This marks THC’s first
international cross-border route, representing a step forward in strengthening
regional air connectivity, enabling cross-border collaboration, and advancing
