12 expatriates injured in attacks on Abu Dhabi areas

Abu Dhabi authorities said they responded to two incidents of falling shrapnel at the Habshan gas facilities and the Ajban area, following successful interception by air defence systems.

The Ajban area incident resulted in minor to moderate injuries to 11 expatriate workers - six of them Nepali nationals and five Indians - and  one Nepali national sustained major injuries, according to Abu Dhabi Media Office.

According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, operations at the Habshan gas facilities were suspended while authorities respond to a fire. No injuries were reported there.

The UAE air defences on Friday engaged 18 Ballistic missiles, 4 cruise missiles and 47 UAV's launched from Iran. Since the start of the blatant Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have engaged 475 ballistic missiles, 23 cruise missiles and 2,085 UAVs.

Power, water plant attacked in Kuwait

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy announced Friday morning that one of the power and water desalination plants was attacked by Iran.

The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted the ministry’s official spokesperson Eng Fatima Hayat as saying that the attack occurred at dawn on Friday, resulting in material damage to some of the plant’s components.

She added that the technical and emergency teams immediately began their work, according to the approved emergency plans, to deal with the repercussions of the incident and maintain operational efficiency.
