French transport specialist Systra opens new Saudi HQ

Systra, a leading French engineering and consultancy group specialising in public transportation and infrastructure, has opened its new headquarters in Saudi capital Riyadh. The company has been present in the kingdom since 2003 through its subsidiary.

The new offices, located in the Olaya district of Riyadh, complement the group's four other addresses in the country and will enable it to extend regional reach and contribute to several large-scale projects, linked to the Kingdom's Vision 2030 programme, said a statement from Systra.

The French transport specialist, which currently employs over 400 people in Saudi Arabia, is already involved in numerous projects across the country, and has committed to growing its portfolio of projects to support the kingdom’s ambitions, particularly through the development of urban infrastructure, public transport networks, and sustainable buildings.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior Systra management as well as kingdom's top government officials and industry professionals.

CEO Pierre Verzat said: "With its experience in mobility in complex urban contexts, Systra has been present in Saudi Arabia for over 20 years and will continue to shape the kingdom’s future with its stakeholders."

"We currently employ over 400 people in Saudi Arabia and are committed to recruiting and training highly qualified local staff. The inauguration of the Riyadh office strengthens our service capacity in the region and symbolises the importance of this country and this area for Systra’s growth," stated Verzat.

Systra Arabia CEO Belal Deiranieh said: "We are putting our global expertise at the service of the kingdom, by offering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions during this exciting period of transformation, and have strengthened the local operation to support the country in achieving its Vision objectives."

"We have ramped up to be the benchmark in the fields of mobility and railways, infrastructure and environment, and building assets," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
