The Amman Marriott Hotel has reopened following a major renovation, marking a new chapter in its 44-year history as one of Jordan’s established hospitality destinations.
The reopening was
celebrated at a ceremony on June 10, attended by hospitality industry leaders,
business partners and representatives of the hotel’s owner, The Arab
International Hotels Company.
Originally opened in
1982, the hotel has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment covering guest
rooms, suites, public areas and dining venues.
The redesign
incorporates elements inspired by Jordan’s cultural heritage and natural
landscapes, combining contemporary aesthetics with locally influenced artwork
and materials.
The property now
offers 292 renovated rooms and suites equipped with updated technology, modern
amenities and sustainability-focused features.
Public spaces,
including the lobby and reception areas, have also been upgraded to align with
Marriott’s global hospitality standards.
The hotel continues to
position itself as a key dining and events destination in Amman, featuring five
restaurants and lounges, as well as meeting, wedding and social event
facilities.
These include the Summer Garden and a range of
event spaces supported by modern technology and planning services.
As part of its
sustainability strategy, the hotel operates as one of Jordan’s fully
solar-powered Marriott properties and holds Green Key certification,
underscoring its commitment to environmentally responsible hospitality and
sustainable operations.
"Amman Marriott Hotel has always held
a special place in the city's hospitality landscape since opening its doors in
1982," said Philip Papadopoulos, Area General Manager of Jordan Cluster
Marriott Hotels. "This renovation reflects our commitment to evolving with
the needs of today's travellers while preserving the warmth, personalised
service and sense of belonging that our guests have cherished for more than 44
years." -TradeArabia News Service
